About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to join our Global Innovation Team at Nike. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and conducting athlete research, driving innovation, and informing product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and assist researchers in collecting athlete data, analyzing results, and interpreting findings.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform product development and drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure seamless equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage and maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper organization and cleanliness.
  • Develop and implement operational reports to track lab activity and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the WHQ NSRL F&E team, Baseline team, and Form team to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Master's degree (or higher) in biomedical engineering, exercise science, bioengineering, biomechanics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a research lab or biomechanics lab.
  • Experience working with athletes, providing consultations, and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in human movement science equipment, such as foot scanners, body scanners, instrumented treadmills, and force plates.
  • Strong software writing, interpretation, and troubleshooting skills with MATLAB, Python, or other data collection and processing tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics to a wide audience.
  • Ability to work independently and in ambiguity, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for sports and healthy living.
