Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Nordson Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing equipment and automation control systems, as well as providing engineering support and sustainment for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop manufacturing equipment and automation control systems to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Provide engineering support and sustainment for our products, including troubleshooting, localization, and ECN/BOM management.
- Identify and implement Value Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Limited electrical/electronics design and trouble analysis for incoming electrical components, PCBA, and cables suppliers.
- Design or improve jig/fixture for production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in electronics/electrical/automation engineering.
- At least 2 years' experience in electrical/electronic design or technical support for manufacturing equipment/automation control systems.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in project management.
- Rich experience in solving electrical/electronics problems for board or system integration level during manufacturing.
- Knowledge of electrical components such as circuit breaker, relay, sensor, servo motor, linear motor, solenoid valve, etc.
- Good skills in analysis of schematic and pneumatic diagram, improvement, PCB layout, cable drawings update based on CAD software, such as Altium.
- Good knowledge in production test based on PLC and Labview platform.
- Knowledge of IE, VA/VE, KANZAN, etc.
- Familiarity with BOM, ECN/ECO, and other manufacturing systems and processes.
- Familiarity of ERP systems, Efacs, SAP, etc.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Hardworking, self-motivated, self-discipline, self-learning, and works well under pressure.
- Good interpersonal, communication problem-solving skill as well as strong team work spirit.
- Able & willing to travel Domestically and Internationally.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Job requires visitation of various suppliers' sites, which have varying environment/condition, layouts.
- Occasional travel abroad with limited period around 2 weeks or more.
- Employee Physical demands: Healthy.
Travel Required:
- Domestic 20% & International 10%
