Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Adidas. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end development process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals and relevant KPIs.
  • Ensure product design aligns with target FOB and GIM targets are achieved by providing predictive cost analysis and validating T1 costing sheets in compliance with Adidas costing standards.
  • Lead the development process to ensure on-time prototypes and 3D samples are created, delivering desired design intent, aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Evaluate prototypes and 3D samples in compliance with AD and workmanship standards.
  • Manage systems (FlexPLM/Creation Portal) to ensure accurate product information is delivered to T1 and accurate data is entered by T1, including BOM, costing, or other data as required.
  • Ensure all materials and prototypes are tested and adhere to Adidas quality, safety, and A01 standards.
  • Manage quality exceptions with senior management as needed prior to Buy Ready.
  • Stay current on market innovations and translate them into product creation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical expertise in garment construction, testing requirements, and material knowledge.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office and Adobe Illustrator) and ability to work with Product Data Management Systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of virtual creation/3D CLO or equivalent 3D software, with strong visual skills and ability to transfer design ideas into digital files.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • College or University degree in clothing technology and/or manufacturing or comparable education.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the garment/textile industry.
