About Us

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior Corporate Counsel. This role will play a leadership position in providing comprehensive legal support to Cat Financial China, a captive financing company serving customers worldwide.

In this capacity, you will work closely with senior management, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic advice and guidance on complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead counsel for Cat Financial China, responsible for delivering comprehensive legal support for various business matters.
  • Advise senior management on legal matters, providing clear recommendations and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Manage legal support for Cat Financial's core business in China, supervising a team of legal professionals and collaborating with external partners.
  • Assist in implementing legal strategies and goals, researching complex legal issues, reviewing, and drafting complex legal documents.
  • Provide leadership, legal expertise, and counsel to business leaders at all levels, promoting a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
  • Be accountable for assessing legal risk and identifying resolution opportunities with a broad range of risk exposure.
Requirements:
  • A 4-year college or university degree with a law background; Master of Laws (LL.M.) preferred.
  • Legal Professional Certificate and extensive experience in the law practice in China.
  • 10+ years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years in industry experience with captive financing companies or related roles.
  • Rich experience in transactions, legal agreements, litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters, particularly in the financial industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex legal issues, manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and possess excellent English language skills, including strong writing abilities.
  • Experience in a leadership role and demonstration of appropriate leadership attributes.
