We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Director to manage our CMPT Semiconductor and SPT Chinese accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers, understanding their technology trends and competitive environment, and developing effective account strategies to meet business targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a proven track record of success in the semiconductor industry. You will be a leader who can engage and motivate others, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, align and execute account strategies to meet business targets.
  • Understand customer technology trends, competitive environment, and strategic customer needs.
  • Effectively utilize available tools such as strategic entertainment and management interface to build customer relationships in line with account plans.
  • Develop strong multi-functional account teams to effectively interface with customers.
  • Utilize strong sales skills to represent CMPT to customers.
  • Promote DuPont processes and secure trials of new materials and support exiting product sales.
  • Manage customer pricing strategically in line with business goals and effectively negotiate supply contracts.
  • Deliver a high level of service to customers - effectively resolve quality or service issues that arise.
  • Work with customers to define un-met needs.
  • Develop sales projects around commercial and developmental opportunities.
  • Successfully convert opportunities leading to sales growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, sales, R&D and I/O.
  • Responsible for demand plan and sales forecast accuracy.

Requirements:

  • BS degree required. MS highly desirable. Degree should be in engineering or science field.
  • 10+ years Semiconductor Industry experience preferred.
  • Language: Communicate fluently in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Leadership or functional competency:
  • Influential leader who can engage and lead others. High level of confidence in his / her decision-making skills. Can look at the big picture and make the correct decision. Excellent organization and time management skills to include prioritization, scheduling, and optimizing shift team skills and resources. Has built positive working relationships with others across the organization and functional support organizations that enable other roles to be successful to perform their roles through influential leadership and coaching. Ability to value assess service request and coach shift team members when they are not aligned to current strategy goals.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, some international travel.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak to large groups and answering technical questions from experts in the CMP field.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels in the organization especially during customer interfacing situations.
  • Self-starter works well with minimal supervision.
  • High safety awareness and demonstrated personal safety engagement are required.
