Job DescriptionWe are seeking three highly experienced and productive colleagues to join our Advanced Materials Research Center (AMRC) as Faculty Positions in Materials Science. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to lead one of three research themes: Dual Carbon Strategic Materials, Information Materials, and Frontier New Materials.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading one of the three research themes within the AMRC and managing a team of scientists, staff, and students;
- Engaging with industries and external institutions for applied materials research and innovation and knowledge transfer;
- Conducting high-quality and productive research, securing internal and external research funding, and supervising PhD, Masters, and undergraduate students;
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules/classes, providing administrative service to the department, school, and university committees, and teaching in areas of chemistry and materials science and engineering;
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a PhD degree in Chemistry and/or Materials Science and Engineering, two years of postdoctoral experience, and preferably demonstrable teaching experience. Applicants must also have experience leading research teams to productive outcomes and securing external funding.
