Strategic Allocation and Replenishment Manager

Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the achievement of theRetail business goals by developing and implementing effective allocation and replenishment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and yearly merchandise demand plans to achieve sales and inventory targets.
  • Drive replenishment planning forecasts to maximize business opportunities and manage downstream workflow with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to align inventory demand forecasts based on inventory and sales targets.
  • Identify business opportunities through markdowns and promotions, and manage stock on hand at the store level.

Allocation

  • Support the manager in managing the entire allocation cycle from creating sales orders to driving business results and liquidation plans.
  • Participate in building the allocation strategy for new buys and excess inventory through automatic replenishment systems and parameter settings.
  • Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, and drive action plans proactively from promotion, markdowns, inventories, sales, and week covers.
  • Collaborate with the operations and SCM teams on product delivery, including scheduling and capacity management in both warehouses and stores.

Processes

  • Understand Retail KPIs and targets, growth strategies, and related policies and processes.
  • Monitor data compliance, identify issues, and propose solutions.
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to drive best practices.
  • Concurrently review processes and necessary enhancements to support the growth of the business in terms of qualitative deliverables in the factory outlet team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Requisite Education, Experience, and Other Skills:

  • University advanced degree.
  • 3-5 years' experience in allocation or planning with recognized retail brands (fashion or FMCG).
  • Prefer good Excel skills and ability to develop useful models/tools.
