Job Summary

As a key member of the Recreation Department, the Recreation Department Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our pool and beach areas. This includes overseeing maintenance, daily upkeep, and cleanliness, as well as managing the operation of our cabana units.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage employees to ensure exceptional guest service and maximize financial performance.
  • Monitor quality and standards to meet customer expectations on a daily basis.
  • Schedule events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to guests and employees.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Support the management of outside vendors, including water sports and scuba services.
  • Order and manage necessary supplies to ensure workers have the equipment and tools needed to do their jobs.
  • Manage the children's program, including coordinating activities, purchasing equipment and supplies.
  • Manage group activities, including sand painting, bonfires, and team-building events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in recreation/health club operations or related field.
  • Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in related field; no work experience required.
