Cellular Pharmacology Scientist

Position Overview
Roche is on the lookout for a dedicated scientist to become a vital part of our Biochemistry and Cellular Pharmacology team within the Lead Discovery sector. The specific role will be tailored to the candidate's level of expertise. This individual will play a crucial role in our lead identification initiatives, collaborating with diverse project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in the conceptualization, development, and execution of innovative assays to facilitate drug discovery processes. Design and conduct biochemical and cell-based assays, manage high-throughput screening (HTS), and perform routine assays for compound profiling. Analyze results and effectively communicate findings within and beyond the Lead Discovery team. Manage potential collaborations with external partners, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs). Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to achieve both immediate and long-term project objectives. Stay informed about advancements in Lead Discovery science and continuously enhance relevant skill sets. Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook, documenting all pertinent information. Ensure a safe, organized work environment while adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Qualifications
Candidates should possess a robust foundation in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology, along with experience in assay development, screening, and data interpretation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in instrumentation, communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal relations, and problem-solving, with over 2 years of professional experience in research or drug discovery and development.
Strong understanding of assay development with extensive hands-on experience in biochemical and cellular assays. Proven experience in high-throughput screening (HTS) and high-content screening (HCS) campaigns, including automation workflows. Effective scientific communicator, capable of engaging with audiences both within and outside the organization.-
