Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts and growing our luxury wine business in the national market.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and leverage commercial and trading initiatives to enhance sales and marketing opportunities within a fixed expense budget.
- Maintain existing customers and develop new growth points in key regions.
- Work closely with distributors to achieve full year depletion targets and outlet development.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for target markets and applications.
- Lead cross-functional teams to maintain effective relationships with established customers.
- Liaise with industry bodies and represent the company in a professional manner.
- 8+ years of experience in the wine industry with sales experience.
- Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- WSET 2 Level or equivalent.
- Wine and champagne knowledge.
- Experience in dealing with demanding customer bases.
- Mature business acumen, strategic thinking, and influencing skills.
- Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong business financials understanding, analysis, and application.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Self-driven, growth mindset, and agile in learning.
