About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warranty Application Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Gas Services Business Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting and giving recommendations to the Warranty Project Manager with technical knowledge of our products on issues associated with warranty scope.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, leading, and driving technical investigations to a final solution and implementation on site together with the engineering department, the material coordinator, and the Warranty Project Manager. You will also be responsible for understanding customer requirements, translating those requirements into implementation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This is a new type of role, and you will have the opportunity to shape your working day in an independent manner. Traveling (domestic and international) and weekend work are expected.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), or equivalent experience.
  • Extended knowledge of Gas turbines, especially from Siemens Energy MGT fleet such as SGT600/700/750 and 800.
  • Knowledge of Gas turbine maintenance concepts.
  • Ability to work well in teams and have good communication, both internally and externally.
  • Drive technical clarification and root cause analysis of warranty issues.
  • Ability to support procurement to source warranty spares.
  • Ability to coordinate technical issues and conduct meetings.
  • Ability to face the customer to present a technical scope.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems/software, especially SAP, PLM2020, and MS Office.
  • Good communication skills (written & oral) within the English/Chinese language.
  • Field service commissioning engineer or control background engineering experience is a plus.
