Job Title: GA R&D Scientist - Hydrocolloid Research and Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Scientist with experience in Hydrocolloids and Food Technology to join our Global Functional Ingredients R&D team in Shanghai, China. As a research scientist, you will play a key role in our hydrocolloid research and development, working closely with customers, business stakeholders, and R&D teams to translate market needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert in Hydrocolloids for application experts within Greater Asia region.
  • Provide internal scientific support to local application experts to develop customer solutions.
  • Interact and provide technical guidance to customers on IFF hydrocolloids and address their technical challenges.
  • Support customers' workshop/training events and represent IFF as a speaker in Food Ingredients forums.
  • Independently engage in R&D projects as a technical contributor or lead to successfully accomplish project goals.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Chemistry or Food Technology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proven experience in Hydrocolloids and Food Technology, with a track record of successfully completing projects and/or technology implementation.
  • Experience with hydrocolloids used in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Experience in managing cross-functional/matrix organizations.
  • Proactive and effective communication skills to engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to work independently with self-motivation, be objective-focused, and remotely collaborate with manager and colleagues in Denmark.
