Job Title: Senior Staff Hardware Engineer

Synaptics Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Hardware Development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing wireless hardware solutions, including PCB board design, hardware/RF performance tuning, and certification tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop WLAN/BT hardware application, including PCB board design and hardware/RF performance tuning
  • Qualify and optimize RF/system performance for custom and internal reference WLAN and BT designs
  • Develop detailed test plans to ensure signal integrity and connectivity for all phases of product testing and certification
  • Lead efforts with development engineers to debug and diagnose issues
  • Work cross-functionally with other Validation and Test teams to troubleshoot complex issues and review test plans
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in Consumer or related industries with embedded systems, cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
  • Experience with system test, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of wireless hardware at the PCB and module level
  • Deep understanding of system-level RF parametric analysis and its impact on overall system performance
  • Experience using RF equipment, WiFi and BT testers, and CAD tools such as Mentor, Allegro, OrCAD, PADS, etc.
