Job Title: Senior Automation Developer

Role Introduction: This role supports the IT Operation team in workflow automation, log ingestion, auto healing, and self-service automation within ITSM and related tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users, internal technology teams, and external vendors to identify fit-for-purpose, reliable, secure, and highly scalable automation solutions to complex business problems.
  • Analyze and translate user needs into business and technical requirements, design, develop, and ensure smooth implementation through collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Participate in Scrum activities in various roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, and developers.
  • Work independently during program and project execution to ensure successful, on-time delivery by anticipating dependencies and impediments, prioritizing tasks, making trade-offs between business needs and constraints, and managing work time efficiently.
  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders through clear communication and documentation.
  • Plan, prioritize, and deliver automation and bug fixes.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support, troubleshoot production systems and services.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions and/or prototypes following best practices.
  • Work closely with technical leads and architects to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for web/mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with other IT domains to drive innovation.
  • Support and maintain the monitoring platform.
  • Support and maintain the Chabot framework.
  • Support and maintain the AI/ML platform.
  • Support and maintain the AIOPS and ITSM platform.

E&A Responsibility:

  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications (or equivalent education qualifications) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years' solid working experience in the IT industry and development role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM and ITIL.
  • Solid experience with full lifecycle of code development work.
  • Solid experience with JavaScript, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Restful API, JSON, XML.
  • Experience with NoSQL DB and RDMS.
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Chabot.
  • Working experience in Agile and Scrum.
  • Familiar with cloud technology such as AWS and Azure.
  • CI/CD and monitoring tool (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab, ELK).
  • Advanced expertise in software development methodologies – Agile and DevOps is a must.
  • Strong understanding of current technology concepts, trends, and capabilities.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas.
  • Well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in security and compliance practices and technologies.
