As a key player in the procurement process, you will serve as the Global Category Buyer and maintain crucial supplier relationships for semiconductor components.
Your responsibilities will include managing projects with suppliers in China for both local and international sourcing initiatives.
Additionally, you will be tasked with exploring the market to discover potential new suppliers.
It will be your responsibility to spearhead the development and onboarding of new suppliers for various projects.
You will prepare comprehensive inquiry packages, analyze requests for quotations (RFQs), and monitor supplier responses.
Leading commercial negotiations and assessing the viability of offers will also be part of your role.
Collaboration is key; you will coordinate with colleagues from commercial purchasing, quality assurance, and technical teams.
Independently managing price discussions during the RFQ phase and conducting annual price negotiations will be essential to your success.
Qualifications
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant commercial field is preferred.
A minimum of three years of professional experience in procurement is required.
A solid understanding of electronic components and the local market dynamics is necessary.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Experience with SAP systems is highly regarded.
