Job Overview

Purpose:

As a key member of the Operational Excellence team, you will oversee all Hub facilities to promote lean production methodologies and Six Sigma practices. Your role will involve supporting the organization in the ongoing enhancement of operational processes, advancing the maturity of the Hub's operational framework, and facilitating training initiatives to cultivate a sustainable pool of lean talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will consistently challenge traditional practices and ensure accountability for site or functional outcomes and implementations.
  • You will act as a catalyst for change alongside site leadership and employees.
  • You will conduct preliminary analyses that include establishing baseline operational and financial metrics.
  • You will be accountable for the preparation, execution, and oversight of the leading operating model / Lighthouse deployment at your designated site.
  • You will guide and enhance site communication, education, and training, while coaching and mentoring continuous improvement specialists within the organization.
  • You will impart continuous improvement methodologies and facilitate numerous Kaizen events on a daily basis.
  • You will embody Hitachi Energy's core principles of safety, quality, and integrity, which entails taking ownership of your actions while prioritizing the well-being of your colleagues and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Over 10 years of experience in fields such as industrial engineering, lean production, operations management, quality assurance, and process optimization.
  • Proven experience in challenging traditional methodologies and driving enhancements.
  • Familiarity with one of the following systems: Toyota Production System, Schneider Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or comparable frameworks.
  • Extensive practical experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies and principles.
  • Ability to develop strategies and translate them into actionable plans, fostering sustainable change through influence.
  • A track record of achieving significant results that positively impact financial performance.
  • Experience in leading teams through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Proficient in conducting learning cycles and Kaizen events.
  • Excellent communication skills.
