We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Middle School English Language Arts Educator to join our team at Aristotle Teachers. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students and foster a love of learning in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the RoleAs a Middle School English Language Arts Educator, you will be responsible for teaching a range of middle school classes, guiding students through the exploration of classic and contemporary works of literature, the development of analytical and creative writing skills, and the mastery of essential grammar and language skills.
Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in English literature, writing, reading comprehension, and language arts to middle school students.
- Teach a range of ELA topics, including classic and contemporary literature, literary analysis, rhetoric, composition, grammar, and vocabulary development.
- Guide students in developing critical reading, writing, and thinking skills through the study of novels, poetry, plays, and non-fiction texts.
- Help students improve their writing skills across various genres, including argumentative essays, research papers, creative writing, and formal reports.
- Provide detailed feedback on student writing and assignments, supporting their growth in literacy, grammar, and composition.
- Incorporate diverse texts and perspectives to enhance students' understanding of different cultures, histories, and viewpoints.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation, discussion, and collaboration.
- Utilize differentiated instruction strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds.
- Prepare students for standardized assessments and any other relevant external exams.
- Assess and monitor student progress through a variety of assessments, including projects, essays, quizzes, and exams.
Aristotle Teachers is a K-12 international school located in Beijing, China. We offer a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum.
