Job Title: Material Planner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Clarios. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely supply of materials to our customers and plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the planning team to plan materials and inventory management, ensuring on-time delivery to customers and controlling inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with plants material planners and cross-functional teams to ensure timely supply of materials, support plants planner on MRP parameters setting and optimization.
  • Identify risks of shortage and surplus raw materials inventory based on monthly cycle forecast and initiate actions to close the gap.
  • Coordinate material support for global and local projects, work with global team on material allocation execution and coordinate with plants for material transfer.
  • Manage inventory levels and project coordination, ensuring smooth running of new projects, engineering changes, and phase-outs.
  • Participate in new supplier assessment and existing supplier annual evaluation to ensure suppliers meet our requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers on open order status and keep them informed with the latest forecast and demand information.
  • Proactively mitigate supply risks and report critical material shortages to executive management and program teams.
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner and initiate continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing, demand planning, or supply chain management
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP with a solid understanding of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, and supply chain operations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Good teamwork spirit, customer-oriented, and strong accountability
