At Shangri-La Boracay, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service in our kitchens. This includes ensuring that all menu items meet the required quality and consistency standards, as well as adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • To develop and implement new menu concepts, working closely with the executive chef to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • To maintain accurate inventory levels, controlling costs and minimizing waste.
  • To source high-quality ingredients, suppliers, and equipment to support menu development and kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior culinary role, preferably within an international hotel or resort setting.
  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Strong background in creating Italian dishes and knowledge of Western and Asian cuisine.
  • Experience with financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Knowledgeable in food hygiene procedures (HACCP / ISO 22000).

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development. The estimated annual salary for this role is between PHP 450,000 - 550,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
