The Department of Biological Sciences at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is a vibrant and dynamic community of scholars dedicated to advancing our understanding of the natural world. Responsibilities and Duties- Teach undergraduate and graduate students in biological sciences and bioinformatics
- Maintain active research and obtain research funding
- Carry out various administrative duties related to university teaching and research
- Supervise graduate students and support teaching and research staff
- Establish an innovative and well-funded research group that is open to interdisciplinary collaboration

Candidates should have a strong background in evolution or genetics, preferably related to human health, such as cancer genetics, tumor evolution, virus evolution, genetic disorders, GWAS analysis, etc. A PhD degree in biological sciences or a related discipline is required, with evidence of teaching experience and high-quality research publications.
Candidates for the position of Associate Professor or above should also have a strong track record in teaching and academic supervision, as well as an international research profile in their fields and a successful record of research funding.
