About the Role

The Economist is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Specialist to join our team at the Multilateral Cooperation Center. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality connectivity and infrastructure investments in developing countries through partnerships.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong governance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide support to the GC and CC, ensuring their effective functioning in accordance with relevant MCDF procedures and policies on accountable and transparent decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the GC and CC, including preparing and circulating documents, registering members, arranging travel, and coordinating meeting logistics.
  • Collaborate with other teams and units within the MCDF Secretariat to facilitate efficient servicing of the GC and CC.
  • Develop and revise governance policies, procedures, and documents to ensure alignment with MCDF's goals and objectives.
  • Build relationships with concerned departments of the Administrator to promote collaborative work on CC and GC matters.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the MCDF budget, Annual Reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist with multitasking and other duties as required by the CSU Head and CEO.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in multilateral development banks, financial institutions, or relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in maintaining effective dialogue with government agencies, IFIs, and private sector entities.
  • Rich experience working with MDBs, development finance institutions, and financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with governance mechanisms and instruments in partnerships and funding facilities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration spirit, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in law, political science, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field from a reputable university.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
