About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Surveyor to join our team in a key location. As a Senior Marine Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting ship inspections, reviewing SEEMP documents, and assessing BV service suppliers. You will work closely with our Operational Manager to ensure compliance with BV M&O procedures and quality objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ship in-service surveys, SEEMP reviews, and DCS annual data reviews in accordance with BV M&O procedures;
  • Assess BV service suppliers and provide recommendations for improvement;
  • Follow up and implement Marine & Offshore procedures, instructions, and technical working instructions issued by BV China M&O and BV M&O Head Office;
  • Apply BV China M&O and BV M&O HO procedures for personal safety and general Health and Safety and Environmental protection;
  • Draw up and send relevant reports to the SSQM after completion of surveys/audits;
  • Evaluate and improve the quality of services provided by ensuring compliance with BV M&O quality system requirements;
  • Take technical decisions on board, within the limitations of Surveyor responsibilities, and seek support from managers when necessary;

Requirements:

  • Marine Engineer degree from a Maritime University;
  • Technical University degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an Engineer Officer on ships or at shipyards;
  • Fluent Chinese language skills and advanced English language proficiency (reading, speaking, and writing).

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
