About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Finance Leader to join our team at Boston Consulting Group as the Senior Director of Finance for Greater China. This is a critical role that will require you to lead the finance function across our Greater China system, overseeing a team of approximately 30 finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the Greater China System Leader and the Leadership Team to develop and implement commercial strategy, business development, and financial decision-making initiatives.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the annual finance planning and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support business decisions.
  • Business Information and Analytics: Ensure the business has access to financial and related information necessary to drive decision-making, leveraging BCG's central information resources and local expertise.
  • Finance and Commercial Operations: Oversee the delivery of all financial operational activities, including lead-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, and cash management.
  • Finance Expertise Functions: Ensure financial and related compliance in Greater China for all legal entities, including accurate and timely local accounting statutory filings, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 15 years of applicable experience, with a proven track record of leading finance teams in professional services or similar matrix environments.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial mindset, with experience in client contracting, investments, billings, collections, and complex proposal support.
  • Financial Expertise: Experience with financial and management accounting, performance reporting, and compliance with firm policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop talent, lead change management projects, and embed risk management into the finance function.
  • Education: Strong academic foundations, preferably including an Accounting (CA/CPA), Finance, or MBA qualification.
