Your Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager for INEOS Automotive Shanghai Trading, you will oversee the financial operations within the Chinese market. Your role will encompass managing statutory compliance for the legal entity while facilitating commercial activities across the region. Acting as a financial partner to the Regional Head APAC, you will identify and mitigate potential financial risks, ensuring that both the Regional Head and Head of Finance are informed of these risks and their implications, along with recommended solutions. You will also be responsible for financial management and sales oversight for the China region.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing financial oversight for INEOS Automotive China, ensuring compliance and profitability through collaboration with the Regional Head APAC and Group Financial Controller.
- Managing relationships with distributor groups nationwide.
- Driving the development of market strategies from a financial perspective, including currency, tariff, and trade tax considerations.
- Overseeing budgeting and forecasting for the China region, including sales and cash flow projections.
- Conducting gap analysis of SAP and managing internal projects to enhance system functionality.
- Collaborating with the Central Commercial team to align regional requirements with global operating models and transfer pricing rules.
- Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to optimize back-office functions and ensure robust systems and processes.
- Supporting the Regional Head APAC with sales planning, analysis, and reporting, including profitability assessments and pricing strategies.
- Evaluating and approving fleet deals, considering volume and profit impacts while navigating the complexities of the Chinese market.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Extensive experience in finance management roles, with exposure to international transactions.
- Strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of Chinese tax regulations.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced in managing third-party stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship building.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.
- Familiarity with SAP systems, particularly SAP S4 Hana.
- Willingness to travel regularly for business purposes.
