Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Exams Services Officer to join our team at the British Council. As an Exams Services Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality examination services for our Global Exams Services stream in South China.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with various functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of examinations services to candidates, in compliance with corporate standards and exam board requirements.
  • Optimize test administration systems, procedures, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with examination boards, educational organizations, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders to drive business development in the South China region.
  • Perform financial activities, such as purchase order creation, accruals, income reconciliation, and finance tracking, to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Support the documentation and confidential materials filling, sorting, and developing related document templates, as well as preparing designated exam-related administrative materials with 100% accuracy.
  • Implement the British Council Examinations Quality Compliance & Assurance standards to ensure all confidential materials handling processes are fully compliant.
  • Ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council's policy on Child Protection and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Experience in administration with a high level of attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience of people management and project management.
  • Demonstrable multi-tasking ability.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Language: English at Proficiency Level B2 (Aptis B2, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) and Chinese at Proficiency Level C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent).
