This role is crucial for delivering application development and support services that align with AIA's operational requirements.

Objective of the Role:

  • Assess and analyze business modifications and requirements to provide precise functional solutions, including estimations, by gathering and documenting needs as functional specifications. Facilitate communication and ensure the delivery of these specifications to relevant stakeholders, while also conducting system briefings and user training as necessary.
  • Generate Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for smaller-scale projects, oversee user interface (UI) design, create testing plans, and execute testing to confirm that system implementations or enhancements meet business objectives.
  • This position may also involve mentoring engineers or specialists in business analysis competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze user requirements to establish system goals.
  • Design functional system solutions and provide cost estimates for delivery.
  • Develop system documentation, including functional specifications, testing plans, and user manuals.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaborate with developers to assist in end-user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinators to manage and track changes in user requirements.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to confirm delivery timelines and monitor system implementation.
  • Conduct system demonstrations as required.
  • Provide mentorship and support to engineers and specialists.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in IT or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least two processes.
  • Understanding of industry/business domains, relevant IT functional products, and applications.
  • Ability to identify and articulate requirements through various scenarios to address genuine business challenges, and validate these with business and end users for updates.
  • Capable of clearly conveying requirements and business scenarios to business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • A diligent individual with a capacity for rapid learning.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in the insurance sector is preferred.
