Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Bosch. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for authoring and executing End of Line (EOL) tests and sequences, deploying diagnostic hardware and software, and reporting and documenting test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Author and execute EOL tests and sequences
  • Deploy diagnostic hardware and software
  • Report and document test results
  • Verify and test EOL test sequences
  • Prepare and participate in plant vehicle launches
  • Work on-site to resolve issues
  • Create and provide customer documentation and training
  • Prepare user requirement documentation
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage tasks using JIRA
  • Install End of Line Runtime to QA and Production servers
  • Set up and configure plant specific networks
  • Setup, test, and validate server plant management web-based tools
  • Run SQL scripts against SQL databases
  • Create and update validation test documentation
  • Participate in QA and Production release reviews
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10
  • Working knowledge of VMWARE and Virtual Box applications
  • Understanding of Windows background services
  • Basic knowledge of Windows networking
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics
  • Knowledge of Wireshark and CAN Logs
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to fault find and debug issues
  • Ability to set up and manage own workload
Desirable Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of OEM requirements and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of ODX and OTX
  • Microsoft SQL Server knowledge
  • XML file knowledge
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Knowledge of using the Bosch vehicle model VSI simulator tool
  • Use of VCATS applications and open source WireShark applications
Education
  • Bachelor or Master degree in electrical or electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2-year experience within the automotive industry and technology
Travel Requirements

Travel to customer sites within the UK and abroad is required (estimated 50% of time)
