APAC Credit Risk Analyst for Strategic Accounts

Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • Financial and Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of customer financial stability and credit reliability for the global clientele of Western Digital. This includes scrutinizing financial statements, performing in-depth research, and utilizing analytical expertise to gauge risk levels.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Serve as a knowledgeable resource on strategies for risk reduction, including credit insurance, letters of credit, factoring, and short-term financing solutions for customer risk portfolios.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with Western Digital teams in Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and across the supply chain to understand customer engagement models and requirements. Influence the development of customer incentive and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and support new product initiatives.
  • External Client Engagement: Actively interact with end customers to foster positive relationships and improve efficiencies in the Order to Cash process. Manage conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiations with clients.
  • Cash Conversion Process Optimization: Ensure precise cash flow forecasting and effective financial operations at Western Digital. Address customer collection disputes and perform reconciliations, which includes compliance responsibilities and data analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with a talent for influencing and negotiating with diverse stakeholders (both local and global, internal and external).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Identify supply chain challenges, ascertain root causes, and implement effective solutions for key customer accounts.
  • Proactive mindset: skilled at navigating obstacles, taking calculated risks, and making informed decisions.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial statements and financial processes.
  • Experience with customer incentives and marketing programs is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analytics.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quote to Cash, Accounts Receivable, Operational Finance, or Banking Commercial Services.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit Analysis Management.
