Housekeeping Department Manager

Job Summary
The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction and maximize departmental financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Housekeeping Operations
- Develop and implement effective housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to identify areas for improvement.
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
- Manage housekeeping budgets and ensure that expenses are aligned with departmental financial goals.
Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
- Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular guest satisfaction surveys to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with the front desk and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
