About the Role:

Citibank (China) Co., Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Risk Evaluation Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Evaluation Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in conducting risk evaluations of new and existing clients with high-risk attributes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk evaluations of clients with high-risk attributes, reviewing their KYC Profiles to determine the level of risk associated with their business.
  • Assess various components of the KYC Profile, including client information, ownership structure, name screening matches, EDD, product profile, and local requirements, to support the disposition of the client.
  • Identify and analyze interconnected risks within a KYC Profile, and provide clear and concise risk analyses to support the ultimate disposition of each KYC Profile reviewed.
  • Provide advice from an AML perspective on issues escalated by the business, and escalate AML concerns or significant suspicious activities to senior management.
  • Coordinate the workflow of KYC Records that have been routed to the Risk Evaluation Management team, and operationally review and apply risk rating overrides in applicable systems when requested by AML/non-AML functions.
  • Track and perform reconciliation on requested risk rating overrides, and support management with the provision of accurate weekly and monthly metrics if requested.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree and AML Certification preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to critically think and assess complex issues.
  • Recent working knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements, with the ability to rapidly comprehend new and complex products.
  • Commitment to understanding country-specific principles and business knowledge related to AML regulations.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on time, with a strong attention to detail.
