工作职责
Responsibilities:

1. Act professionally as a consultant for patients who are referred by primary care physicians, or as a primary care physician for patients whose sole complaint is pain.
2. Act as a team leader to build up a pain management team at SHU.
3. Provide broad based initial history and physical to assess the patients' underlying causes of the painful condition, including but not limited to exacerbating elements such as psychosocial factors.
4.Derive evidence based assessment and plan surrounding the differential diagnosis of the painful condition.
5. Follow directives from the Chair of the Anesthesia, and participate required departmental activities.

任职要求
Qualifications:

 Medical Degree
 4 years residency training specialty in anesthesiology
 1 year of fellowship training to become a pain management sub specialist,
 American Board of Anesthesiology with a special certification in pain medicine, or equivalent.
 Able to speak and write English at a such a level in order to maintain essential clinical communication with patients and colleagues, verbally and in medical chart.

Skills:

Be able to recognize various symptoms of pain and associated differential diagnosis
Be able to perform progressively conservative as well as basic to advanced interventional procedures to remediate the pain syndromes.
Excellence in communication within the department as well as referral sources
Dedicated to maintaining harmony and unity among all stakeholders of the pain management team.
Level headed, professional and reliable while appearing flexible and friendly.

Knowledge:

The staff member should possess a knowledge base equivalent to an internationally accredited pain medicine doctor.
