Overview: Hetero Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic and strategic Country Manager -Sales to lead the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) business in China. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring regulatory compliance in one of the world's most dynamic pharmaceutical markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for API products in the Chinese market, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.

Oversee sales targets and performance in the China market, analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify business opportunities.

Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting API sales in China.

Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and competitive factors.

Collaborate closely with R&D and product development teams to align the product portfolio with market needs and regulatory requirements in China.

Ensure all business activities comply with relevant local and international laws and regulations, particularly those related to pharmaceutical products and formulations.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare professionals, distributors, and suppliers in China.

Develop and manage the budget for the API sales department, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including acquiring new clients and partnerships.

Evaluate potential collaborations, licensing agreements, and strategic alliances to enhance the company's market position.

Proficiency in Mandarin is highly beneficial, along with an understanding of the business culture in China.

Willingness to travel frequently within China and possibly internationally.

Actively participate in industry conferences and events to network and stay updated on market trends.

Regularly report progress and challenges to senior management and effectively communicate with different teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in API sales within the pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of the Chinese market.

Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance in China.

Ability to analyze market trends and formulate effective business strategies.

Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
