Reporting to the Global VP EHS, and responsible for leading EHS Program activities and continual improvement processes across Dematic.Lead and manage the organization’s EHS function with direct responsibility for a team of EHS professionals working across China; Support China business on EHS strategy development, EHS policy and technology advice

Provide leadership and advocacy for disciplined EHS programs to ensure the protection of our employees, oversite of sub-contractors and protection of the environment. As a member of the senior management team, the EHS Director is responsible for ensuring that each Business Unit is in legal compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations. He/she will work closely with the Business Leadership Executive Teams in each region as well as all members of management to build a productive, proactive and effective EHS environment. Develop programs and initiatives to promote improvements throughout China
⚫ To sustainably reinforce EHS team to impact & lead the local transformation,
⚫ Work closely and be an active member of the Dematic China Leadership Team and work as well as all members of management to build a productive, proactive and effective EHS environment.
⚫ To foster more safety culture to re-establish in both MFG (Jinan and Suzhou), and enlarging CS activities.
⚫ Responsible for ensuring that each Business Unit is in legal compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.

Tasks and Qualifications:


• Develop and implement programs in partnership with the leadership of each Function including (CS, GPE Engineering, Project Management) Manufacturing Plants in China.
• Create a “Best In Class” safety culture by using behavioural safety methods and continuous improvement to motivate and influence leaders and employees.
• Deliver formal and informal communication on key EHS activities to senior level management and offer potential solutions as appropriate.
• Serve as a member of the Corporate EHS Council to partner across all business segments in driving a global EHS strategy.
• Ensure policies, procedures and training session for Jinan/SZ plant developed and meet local, corporate policies, guidelines and legislative requirements.
• Work proactively with Business leaders on process changes and new process and equipment implementations to address the impact of environmental, health and safety requirements. Ensure EHS personnel are part of the review/approval for material or process changes.
• Ensure all Environmental and Safety compliance records and reporting are maintained in accordance with corporate specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and maintains appropriate documentation and records including budgets and other financials.
• Prepares documentation required for project funding for various environmental initiatives including proposals and grant applications.
• Maintains current working knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all applicable local, state, national, and globally relevant environmental laws and regulations.
• Identifies and facilitates training as needed.
