Sr Regional EHS Manager, China/ASPAC

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Shanghai City

PrimaryFunction

Reportingto the Director - Global EHS & Security, the main duties are to collaborate with Kohler China and Asia Pacific business units as the regional leader for safety and environmental compliance. This role involves overseeing EHS projects, liaising with regulatory agencies, and working on environmental permitting conditions and safety compliance for multiple sites in the region. Additionally:

  • Maintain an understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Anticipate risks and develop strategies for business impact mitigation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in multiple facilities
  • Review capital projects for permit requirements
  • Improve environmental stewardship culture
  • Produce EHS reports and data analyses for performance improvement
  • Coordinate internal EHS audits
  • Lead talent management and development within the EHS function

Skills/Requirements

REQUIREDKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
  • Ability to work across different business units
  • Experience in EHS auditing and corrective actions
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and compliance with policies
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Interaction with all levels of an organization
  • Fluency in English

EDUCATION& EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or safety science; MS preferred with certifications such as CSP, CHMM, PE, etc.
  • Knowledge of environmental controls
  • Minimum ten years of corporate experience
  • Managerial experience with multiple site locations
  • Current knowledge of EHS regulatory trends
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing EHS compliance
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with professionalism and integrity
  • Up to 50% travel required
