General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client's manufacturing plant in Dongguan. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the setup of a new factory from the ground up and manage the transfer of existing operations from Shenzhen.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the construction/installation process and ensuring project milestones are met
• Managing daily plant operations, emphasizing production output, quality, and timely delivery
• Leading and developing a high-performing team of department managers and supervisors
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships
• Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with legal regulations
• Acting as the main point of contact with local government agencies
• Managing the P&L and executing the annual budget, including capital expenditures

Location: Dongguan

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• Proven management experience as a plant manager or in manufacturing operations
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin
• Strong understanding of local regulatory compliance for plant operations
• Solid knowledge of business and management concepts (budgeting, planning, cost control, KPIs)
• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and stewardship processes
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in setting up or relocating a factory in China
• Previous work experience in a multinational company
