Position overview

Are you interested in managing products with market trend, company strategies and business optimization, offer innovative products that meet the needs and wants of customers? allnex invites you to join us as a Product Specialist, and we are happy to share this position is open either in China, Thailand or Malaysia. With this great opportunity at allnex, you will evaluate & analyze product performance to help contributing company goals and objectives.  In this role, you will experience the advising role to sale team on any relevant products matters, and project management to drive for strategy success.  You will work in close collaboration with the Product Line Management, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Demand functions to arrive at a consensus on profit, cost saving and capacity optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the product groups with Product Line Manager with MI and gross profit responsibility, balancing volumes, capacity utilization and pricing.
  • Facilitate growth of these product lines by working closely with Sales, TS, R&D and Operations.
  • Monthly costing update of product lines by working with finance & procurement.
  • Upgrading model, set pricing in lists, provide guidelines, and ensure CSR orders are properly arranged with the correct price/incoterm
  • Manage cost trend & coordinate mass price increases / decrease campaign.
  • Routinely assesses and recommend rationalization of product portfolio to optimize EBITDA and Net Working Capital.
  • Manage / facilitate projects that support the capacity utilization, profit & cost saving optimization 
  • Support the product transfer process of the existing products & the integration of the acquired product lines.
  • Perform adjustments & facilitate changes for packaging changes, for “discontinued” items and new items.
  • Analyze regional and global demand history, support Product Line Manager for sale allocation.
  • Collaborate with Demand Analysts, review demand with Sales and Product Line Management in order to ensure good forecast information.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Global Demand Management Process. 
  • Define performance metrics, monthly analyze and monitor performance for APAC technologies, identify low margin business & suggest actions for improvements.
  • Support commercial experiences & digitalization journey,  and develop web-tool reports/views to Sales.
Required skills and experience
  • 5 years' experience in Commercial, Cost / Price Analyst, or Supply Chain in Coatings or Chemical Industry.
  • Good command in English.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer based software including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data, experience to leverage analytical tools eg. Power Query / Power Pivot
  • Fine attention to details.
  • Good communication skills with all levels & functions in the organization
  • Strong team player spirit, and can work independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset & result oriented.
  • Good decision making ability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Business Administration & Business Analyst or related field.
