Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Product Compliance Specialist in China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain China market food requirements and establish enterprise standards based on Chinese legislation and IKEA requirements.
  • Support import control and operational compliance during importation, transportation, and storage of food products in the DC, providing technical documents to stakeholders.
  • Represent Inter IKEA Group in government activities related to product requirements and compliance, including obtaining necessary licenses and handling authority investigations and product recalls.
  • Contribute to competence development activities for relevant food products requirements, ensuring the right competence in the business.
  • Provide input to the food products requirement process in Range and Supply and on the food standardization process in China.
  • Build and maintain relations with standardization communities, relevant authorities, and alliances, as well as internal IKEA stakeholders.
  • Follow up on food China GB establishment and development trends, and influence future market food & alcoholic products requirements with a customer-focused approach.
Requirements
  • University degree in food engineering, food technician, food lawyer, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Chinese food legislation and standards.
  • Familiarity with China's system for developing food and alcoholic products requirements.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of IKEA products, concept, and overall business processes.
  • Ability to build trustworthy relations within the sphere of influence.
  • Strong communication skills to different groups internally and externally, as well as experts and non-experts.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Dare to actively take discussions and debates.
  • Knowledge of business negotiation.
