Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in the ASPAC region. As a key member of the IFF Trade team, you will be responsible for managing import and export activities to ensure compliance with local and global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply local and international trade-related laws and regulations
  • Oversee and communicate regulatory changes with the development of best practices
  • Provide trade-related advice to business on a daily basis, including HS code classification, Inco-term explanation, and special schemes
  • Lead and participate in communication with local Customs when required
  • Support business projects and develop compliant trade solutions per requirement
  • Drive cost savings, especially in customs duty savings from FTAs, duty incentives, and other programs
  • Lead internal and external trade-related audits in China and the rest of ASPAC (except India)
  • Conduct training to internal customers and improve awareness of trade regulations
  • Monitor, track, and report China and the rest of ASPAC (except India) import and export metrics
  • Customs broker management and regular review
  • Connect with Global Trade team and participate in global projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Logistics, or equivalent by experience
  • At least 5-year experience in import and export operations is preferred
  • Capability to develop and apply statistical and computer skills
  • Computer skills covering MS Office, SAP is preferred
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing
