Job Title: Trade Compliance Manager

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, national, and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Trade Compliance Policies: Create and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Changes: Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct Audits and Assessments: Regularly audit and assess trade compliance to identify potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with legal, finance, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain.
  • Provide Guidance and Training: Offer guidance and training to employees on trade compliance matters, including import and export regulations.
  • Lead Import and Export Documentation: Oversee import and export documentation, including classification, licensing, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with External Partners: Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods.
  • Handle Trade Compliance Violations: Investigate and address trade compliance violations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare Reports and Filings: Prepare and submit required reports and filings to regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is beneficial.
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including import and export controls, trade sanctions, and customs procedures.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in trade compliance, such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES), are advantageous.
