Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Trade Compliance Policies: Design and enforce trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Trade Regulations: Continuously monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
  • Conduct Regular Audits and Assessments: Perform regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, logistics, and procurement, to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain.
  • Provide Guidance and Training: Offer guidance and training to employees on trade compliance matters, including import and export regulations, restricted parties, and customs requirements.
  • Lead Import and Export Documentation: Oversee import and export documentation, including classification, licensing, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with External Partners: Collaborate with external partners, such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies, to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods.
  • Handle Trade Compliance Violations: Address trade compliance violations or incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit required reports and filings to regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Trade Compliance Experience: Demonstrated ability in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics.
  • Global Trade Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including import and export controls, trade sanctions, and customs procedures.
  • Trade Compliance Software: Strong understanding of trade compliance software and systems.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and implement effective compliance strategies. Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional certifications in trade compliance, such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES), are beneficial.
