Job Title: Compliance Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Spectris Instrumentation and Systems Shanghai Ltd. (MP OpCo). As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence and compliance tasks in the local sales process to assess the legitimacy of third parties and business partners.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and sales teams to ensure compliance with group policies related to third parties, export control, and corporate ethics.
  • Review daily orders for compliance with local and foreign export control regulations and manage various kinds of export compliance issues.
  • Assist with maintaining and deploying the Group Export Control Compliance policy and supporting procedures.
  • Provide advice on product classification.
  • Lead periodic self-assessments or audits and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with anti-bribery/ethics and export and trade compliance regulations and internal policies.
  • Train locally based staff in compliance approval processes, corporate business ethics, and export control compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in legal, compliance, business, or management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficient speaking and writing ability in English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly understand business needs and anticipate potential issues.
  • Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing initiatives within a diverse global organisation.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience in delivering training to a diverse global organisation preferred.
  • Experience in working in an international, highly regulated, and commercial environment.
