Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and capable FAE (Field Application Engineer) Group Leader to lead our team of field application engineers (approximately 10 associates currently in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing). This role requires a strong technical background in semiconductor MEMS sensors as well as Consumer Electronics (CE) (, Smartphone, Wearables, Hearables, AIOT, Gaming, XR...), excellent communication skills, robust customer project management, cross department cooperation skill and customer relationship management capabilities. The FAE Group Leader will guide the team in providing technical support, resolving customer issues, and actively promoting our product/solutions in market together with Sales, Business Development (BUD), and Application Engineering colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management: Lead and manage the FAE team, develop work plans, and allocate development, evaluate team performance and implement performance management and improvements, ensure business process and workflow applied in daily work and drive continues optimization and competence buildup, mentor, and coach team members to enhance team member technical competence and customer service capabilities.Provide regular training to team members to enable design-win and professional support. Encourage team members to share learnings between each updated with semiconductor and MEMS sensor technology trends to ensure continuous improvement of the team’s technical knowledge and product innovation in the team. Customer Projects and relationship management Keep communication with customers to understand customer requirement and feedback BST internally (, Product Management, Business/Product Development, and enhance customer relationship to improve customer customer project plan and find design in opportunities.Monitor customer projects progress and key technical issues solving to ensure design win and successful mass production.Coordinate internal resources to help team members on critical customer issues. Distributor technical Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Provide technical training and support to distributor teams to enhance their product knowledge and project design win with distributors to identify market opportunities and support the development and implementation of sales strategies.  Cross-Department Collaboration: Coach team members and work closely with the internal department to bridge the customer feedback and technical requirements and aiding in product development and improvement.Collaborate with local and headquarter cross function teams (, R&D, PRM, operation, quality) to improve customer satisfaction.Coordinate with sales and PRM team to support pre-sales activities and provide technical expertise during customer visits and closely with sales team to define and implement customer/market strategy.Responsible for planning and executing BST Global FAE TrainingProactive support of technical days at customers, Sales Distribution workshops, etc. Further BST Global responsibilities, planning and executing BST Global FAE Training, ensuring high quality BST Community moderation, new product/solutions to the market.Develop new ideas and execute on accessing new application a strong business acumen mindset.Develop and execute efficiency measures in customer support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. At least 5 years of field application engineering experience in the semiconductor sensor industry, a team leadership role experience is a plus. In-depth understanding of semiconductor sensor technology and Consumer Electronics market. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams at various levels. Strong customer project management experience, problem-solving abilities, and team collaboration spirit. Willingness to travel frequently to customers and BST locations. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing). International experience and business degree is a plus.
