About the role

The Regulatory and Safety Strategy Manager (China) – Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) delivers innovative solutions for healthier lives and happier homes as a member of the global Total Health Regulatory and Safety Strategy Team. Reckitt is in the top 20 companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Today it is the global Number 1 or 2 in many of its fast-growing categories, driven by an exceptional rate of innovation. Its Dietary Supplement portfolios include Airborne, Neuriva, Digestive Advantage, Move Free, Megared and Schiff brands.

Your responsibilities

Advanced ability to interpret and apply applicable Chinese authority regulations and guidances (e.g. SAMR, GACC, etc.), as well as interpret enforcement trends governing Dietary Supplements/Health Foods. Mentor and direct others across the business and across regions in their understanding and application of these regulations and guidances. Apply knowledge and experience to increasingly complex or ambiguous regulatory issues and show ability to communicate and balance risk with global cross-functional peers. Manage matrixed VMS NPD projects, providing robust and innovative regulatory strategies and proactive solutions in partnership with the global Regulatory and Safety Strategy teams and local China in-market regulatory teams. Represent regulatory team at key internal Business Unit forums, particularly around New Product Development projects for China market. Set clear priorities, review project progress with ability to provide gap analysis and resolutions to lead team to achieve targets; balance resources, quality and speed to market. Apply best practice Project Management methods, anticipating contingencies, team response and readiness in advance. Help support label and artwork creation for primary brand responsibility, working with US and China in-market regulatory teams. Lead team to achieve targets for integration activities and plan/manage external projects that arise. Ability to steer productive meeting discussions to assure regulatory compliance.

The experience we're looking for

BA/BS degree required in the natural or food sciences area. 6 -10 years of relevant work experience required. Experience with dietary supplement or China Health Food products required. People management experience desired. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and international organization. Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is desired. Prior experience working in the CPG and/or Healthcare industry preferred. Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills. Strong Project Management skills required. Ability to establish close communications and working relationship with cross functional teams to meet business objectives. Ability to work with uncertainties and effect innovative solutions to complex regulatory requirements. Must be agile, able to multi-task and prioritize multiple deliverables within aggressive timelines.
