Job Responsibilities Long Description Short Description Job Purpose

Regional responsibility & ownership for the segment ensuring setting & delivery of regional mandate in alignment with the global segment mandate and regional commercial Director (+Automotive Sales Manager in China) 
Contributes to the revenue and profitability targets for the segment by using and coordinating all marketing levers such as strategy, Go To Market Models, Innovation, Portfolio management, Approval with OEM, Communications, Digital, pipeline management, etc.
Support Commercial team on strategy execution with follow up and intel to leverage the marketing knowledge into the Commercial execution.

Key Accountabilities

• Formulates and drive execution of the Regional Segment Strategy in close coordination with the regional marketing manager and BU Segment manager assuring alignment with global segment strategy and marketing plan
• Monitors regional revenue and profitability performance for the segment vis a vis agreed mandate 
• As an owner of the regional product portfolio ensures the implementation of the innovation process (incl. the project portfolio) for the segment in in cooperation with Global Product manager
• Monitors and optimizes regional product portfolio in alignment with Global Product Manager
• Provides guidance to the region in the implementation and execution of segment strategy 
• Works closely together with Regional Marketing Managers (and Regional Sales Manager Segment and Key Account Managers) to ensure translation of segment strategy into operational action planning
• Monitors implementation of the regional plans and drives course correction where needed
• Gets in depth understanding of needs within the region as well as for key customers through market research, including Voice of Customer discussions and interactions with regional sales team.
• Translates needs into clear value propositions and develops these propositions in close cooperation with Global BU Segment Manager
• Translates for the region the product branding / naming structure provided by the BU Segment Manager 
• Gives insights and customer needs back to BU to secure applicable innovation roadmap with OEM and Tiers 1 
• Maintains close contact with regional sales organizations to ensure market input is gathered 
• Provides pricing input to the pricing excellence contact when needed
• Participation in IBP monthly regional PMR to update on project progress
• Be familiar with all applicable corporate and site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE standards and always in compliance with all applicable regulations

Experience

•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business

•At least 4+ years of experience in a commercial environment 

•Ideally experience in more than 1 area of marketing and/or sales

•Some work experience in a tech/tech service role is an advantage

•Analytical mind with good financial acumen
