In this role, you will:

  • Impact on the Business/Function
    • Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicator objectives by fostering existing and new Elite client relationships
    • Engage in regular reviews with clients to grasp their current and long-term financial needs and offer them tailored products and services that support their wealth objectives
    • Employ tools, information, and delivery channels efficiently to provide top-notch client service
    • Maintain a minimum standard of qualifying Elite Premier clients within the portfolio as outlined by the Group
    • Utilize daily sales activity management information and internal tools to effectively expand or maintain the wallet share of clients
    • Fully utilize and update Client Relationship Management data, ensuring all client information is comprehensive and up to date
    • Identify opportunities to refer business to GMP, GPB, Insurance, and Asset Management, as appropriate
  • Customers / Stakeholders
    • Manage the client relationship with HSBC and provide professional care and expert financial advice to make HSBC the primary bank for clients
    • Collaborate with the broader branch, support, and direct teams to achieve business performance measures by delivering specialized wealth products and services to clients
    • Establish and maintain relationships with clients based on credibility, reliability, and personal interest
    • Utilize extensive knowledge of relevant products and services to tailor the best solutions for clients
    • Maintain the highest standard of client service with regular monitoring of client satisfaction
    • Ensure fair outcomes for customers and maintain conduct that upholds the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Leadership & Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively as part of an integrated management team to ensure standards are met and operating models are implemented
    • Take on line manager responsibilities for managing assigned Premier Officer or designated support staff
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the wider WPB businesses and others to meet client needs
    • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve the WPB performance measures and plan to support the multi-channel client journey
    • Act as a role model and coach to junior RMs when required
  • Operational Effectiveness & Control:
    • Ensure that sales and operations are conducted in accordance with HSBC FIM, BIM, and Credit Policy Manual lending guidelines
    • Manage operational risk by using relevant Management Information to identify risk situations and take appropriate actions to minimize loss
    • Adhere to the selling process and sales quality requirements

Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 1. Knowledge & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of four years of proven and progressive experience in financial services, with at least 2 years as a Relationship Manager
    • Demonstrated strong client recommendation and sales results in wealth products
    • Equivalent relationship management experience in handling high net worth client portfolios is preferred
    • Expert knowledge in financial planning and wealth products
    • Sound knowledge of the impact of macroeconomics/microeconomics/local market developments
    • Expert knowledge of the external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management
    • In-depth understanding of HSBC Global House Views, if internal
    • Strong client focus and the ability to develop long-term partnerships with clients
    • Ability to provide needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills
    • Knowledge of local regulatory & license requirements, including possessing valid licenses with accreditation in wealth management as required by the country
    • Clear understanding of collaborating with Compliance, Credit & Risk, and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment
    • Proficient in English and local languages for effective communication
