This role plays a crucial part in supporting the China R&D head. Responsibilities include driving and enabling end-to-end China portfolio strategy execution, enhancing agility, focus, and coordination across functional teams, as well as monitoring key stakeholders in the China pharma ecosystem. The role involves leading transformative initiatives and high-impact engagement events with senior leadership, in collaboration with key stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with functional area stakeholders for China portfolio strategy execution, governance meetings, and global portfolio reviews
  • Track China R&D performance against internal goals and industry benchmarks
  • Organize key management meetings and global leadership team visits
  • Interact with headquarters to ensure alignment in drug development strategy and governance
  • Manage relationships with internal and external teams to enhance China R&D's image
  • Understand commercial inputs for the development process

Key Competency Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of portfolio governance and drug development processes
  • Knowledge of external pharma industry environment and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Results-oriented with a proven track record in relationship management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 10+ years experience in drug development pharma industry
  • 8-10 years expertise in project/portfolio management
  • Understanding of drug development environment in China
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to integrate observations in R&D business
  • Working knowledge of drug development functional areas and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty and prioritize effectively
