Job Summary:

The PMO & Operation Excellence Lead is responsible for developing and driving commercial strategies across Vaccine/Established Portfolio and Retail Business, upgrading alliance strategy through strategic value creation, partnership enhancement and capturing insight of eco-system dynamics to achieve sustainable business growth. This role closely works with the business team of Vaccine/EP/Retail and cross-functional leaders to facilitate BD strategy development, lead commercial strategy transformation and evolvement to maximize growth opportunity and keep improving both productivity and competitive advantage. This role also responsible for driving operation excellence in compliant way, including developing performance management, executing compliance control process and providing comprehensive performance dashboard, securing Financing/Ordering related routine and ad hoc operational support is highly efficient and accurate with leaner practice. Collaboration with global PGS to ensure stable supply for corresponding portfolio, and effectively coordinate with global R&D and CSI team to facilitate vaccine new launch acceleration. The incumbent will establish management systems across various business areas, lead critical business initiatives, and serve as the primary communicator with the stakeholders on business topics. As the key member of BULT, the role involves monitoring operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting the GM in daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Innovation:

Develop and implement strategic operational plans to support business growth and transformation.

Develop and promote innovation projects to explore the brand value, increase the accessibility of patients and enhance the strategic collaboration with partners

Lead the planning and execution of BU-level initiatives, including business planning and performance analysis.

Monitor and report critical project progress to management and provide actionable solutions.

Develop anticipating & mitigation management toolset to mitigate any potential risk.

Project Management & Capability building:

Work with GPS/R&D/CSI team to secure supply and drive new launch acceleration.

Monitor or manage VAC, EP, Retail key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication among stakeholders, and project delivery and success rates.

Develop CSO capabilities including but not limited to 4 areas such as product/disease knowledge, coaching skill, business planning, customer engagement skills

Performance and Process Improvement:

Build up systematic performance review dashboard to track TTH/TTA/TTD/IBT and develop follow-through mechanism

Identify areas for operational improvement and develop initiatives to enhance different BU model's processes.

Utilize process improvement methodologies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency, make the adjustment as needed.

Develop and deploy tools and resources to support business operations and enhance productivity.

Collect feedback from teams to continuously improve technology solutions and processes.

Compliance and Governance :

Lead compliance-related projects and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Implement and maintain compliance monitoring systems to ensure organizational compliance with policies and regulations.

Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.

Establish communication mechanism with partners and cross-function teams to remove constraints and ensure the CSO partners operate with high standard of integrity and business ethic

Resource Allocation and Optimization:

Ensure optimal resource allocation across functions and teams through guideline design and monitoring.

Monitor actual operational expenditure (OpEx) and rebalance resources based on strategic priorities. Streamline coordination and communication across business groups and functions.

Team Development and Engagement:

Support employee engagement and initiatives to foster a positive organizational culture.

Lead efforts to improve team dynamics and overall operational effectiveness.

Act as a liaison between the BU, cross-functional team, and CSO partners.

Candidate Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent analytical abilities.

10+ years in Operations, Strategy, Business Planning, with a strong emphasis on project management and operational roles.

Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within the China market.

Extensive project management experience with demonstrated influencing skills.

Strong business analysis and strategic thinking capabilities.

Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of interacting with executives internally and externally.

Ability to work effectively across cultures and deliver results in unfamiliar situations.

Deep understanding of market dynamics and industry policies.

Strategic agility with the ability to develop clear business perspectives.

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.
