Role Purpose Statement:

The Sales Manager is accountable for implementing sales strategy, business planning, and opportunity management in collaboration with CTS, Innovation, and Marketing teams to reach sales targets in the Chinese market. They are responsible for managing and enhancing sales operations and resources within the organization based on local customer requirements aligned with the China sales strategy and customer segmentation guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out sales growth strategies to meet annual sales contribution margin targets.
  • Oversee daily sales, order fulfillment, acquisition of new customers/markets, cross-selling of specialty ingredients, and exploration of new categories such as plant-based business and co-products.
  • Utilize key account planning tools and interact with core customers to foster customer engagement and establish strong connections for business expansion.
  • Implement distributor management strategies and collaborate with key partners to enhance continuous growth and market presence.
  • Continuously gather market intelligence including competitive landscape, market trends, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal teams such as trading, innovation, and marketing to create an opportunity pipeline and facilitate commercialization.
  • Coordinate with the demand planning team to refine demand forecasts, manage opportunities and risks, and enhance demand forecast accuracy to ensure consistent customer supply.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, management, food science, fats and oils, etc. An MBA is a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B food ingredient sales. Experience in specialty fats and oils sales is desirable.
