Job Summary:

Responsible for managing strategic and operational projects across various functions as assigned by the China President's Office. These projects involve tasks such as business analytics, strategic initiative planning, business planning, and operational plan design and execution tracking. The job entails conducting research, data collection, analysis, insights generation, and presentation preparation. Additionally, it involves following up and monitoring key actions from business reviews and management meetings.

In addition to individual project management, the role includes supporting positions in key corporate projects led by DBO, including budget and resource planning and coordination of China visits for global leaders.

Apart from project management responsibilities, the position involves leading the coordination of the Innovative Project Approval Committee, crucial for expediting approvals of complex innovative projects proposed by business and key functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional projects assigned by the China President's Office, coordinating functions for project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting to the China Leadership Team
  • Oversee the yearly brand planning process, including template preparation, plan development, progress monitoring, and follow-up action tracking
  • Spearhead the IPAC process to enhance innovation project approval efficiency
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on key businesses as assigned by the China President's Office, collaborating with relevant functions and BUs to derive insights and recommendations
  • Manage the monthly performance review process, including diagnosing key opportunities and risks, providing dive-deep recommendations, collaborating with BUs, and tracking action plans
  • Coordinate resource reallocation and planning exercises with HQ and China teams
  • Assist in the yearly budget process, including analysis and presentation preparation
  • Aid in various tasks for the China President's Office, such as preparing materials for global visits, tracking follow-up actions, and handling ad-hoc requests
  • Support China strategy planning, especially China 2030 strategy and future executions
  • Foster strong relationships with business teams and senior field team leaders to gather feedback and address their needs promptly

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in Business Management or related fields; MBA is desirable
  • Over 10 years of experience in Strategy, Project Management, Business Analytics, and Marketing. Experience in consulting firms is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cultures, deliver results swiftly in new environments, and possess a track record of business acumen for brand growth
  • Sound understanding of the China pharmaceutical industry and market dynamics
  • Global perspective and a highly proficient level of English communication, both written and verbal

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Analytical Skills – Excellent at reviewing and utilizing data for insights and decision-making
  • Strategic Agility – Able to develop clear perspectives on business opportunities and challenges, think holistically, and provide insights from data and analysis
  • Dealing with Ambiguity – Capable of managing change, making decisions in uncertain situations, and comfortable with risk
  • Communication and Impact – Outstanding presentation and influencing skills, interacting effectively with internal and external executives; Capable of influencing and gaining endorsement for China business proposals globally
