The General Manager-BIS China for Cytiva is responsible for driving growth and continuous improvement across multiple disciplines. Enables functional teams to execute on strategy that drives exceptional end-to-end customer experience and revenue achievement.

BIS is one of the 4 opcos in Cytiva, covering the most innovative digital technologies and total solutions that enable next generation biotechnology.

This position is part of the Cytiva China Leadership team. Locate in China and will be leading a 200+ team. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Business Performance

  • Own Overall BIS performance and business, solutions, services strategy in the region
  • Develop and execute on strategic plan to drive high quality service.
  • Develop integrated solutions comprised of technologies for strategic and high value Biotech projects.
  • Design/Oversee country BIS operating model & resource allocation in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Accountable for business performance; growth and profitability.

Commercial

  • Own performance and achievement for BIS in the region.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive MCS governance frameworks for shared resources, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Define clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes to promote accountability and transparency.
  • Design and align asset service, incl. equipment services, automation & digital solution and technical support to best achieve profitability goals and strategic priorities.
  • Oversee PDVS projects and activities to accomplish annual revenue targets, especially focusing on driving design in of Cytiva products.

Product Innovation, Development & Management

  • Accountable for identifying and actioning against service development & innovation opportunities aligned to customer needs by customer segment, through organic or inorganic approaches, including ICFC initiatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience in creating and executing multi-year business strategy; developing and implementing a comprehensive commercial strategy that supports business objectives and growth targets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Ability to analyze complicated issues and boil down to the key points, communicate effectively, influence development of action plans bring to a successful conclusion.
  • Deep market knowledge of Healthcare Space, and competitor intelligence and the capacity to identify market tendencies before they become trends.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and executive presence with an ability to work with people at multiple levels both inside and outside of Cyitva; Can quickly build strong relationships and quickly establish significant credibility, trust, and support (i.e., Customers, peers, subordinates, and senior management) as well as developing strong followership within the commercial organization.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills; can support team and work at high levels within customer decision-making unit to negotiate complex deals that are profitable to the company and in line with revenue and margin objectives.
